Privacy policy
How Money Magic handles financial records, permissions, backups and privacy.

About this policy
Money Magic is developed by Techzilar. This policy explains how the app handles your information. It covers the app; websites and services you choose to open have their own privacy policies.
Financial records on your device
Accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, schedules, debts, notes and settings are stored in an encrypted database in private app storage on your phone. The encryption key is kept in the device’s secure storage. Techzilar does not receive these financial records and cannot read or recover them. There is no app account or cloud synchronization.
Advertising and analytics
The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools and does not build a profile of you.
Exchange-rate requests
To update exchange rates, the app requests rates from frankfurter.dev when opened, at most once every four hours. The request contains your main currency code, such as USD, but not your financial records. The service also receives your network address as part of the internet connection.
You can disable automatic updates in More › Money › Exchange rates and enter rates manually.
Purchases, when enabled
All features are available to everyone in this release. New purchases and promo codes are turned off. In future builds with purchases enabled, Apple or Google handles payments through your store account. Money Magic does not receive payment card details. On Android, purchase verification sends the product identifier and store purchase token to a verification service, without financial records.
Plan access is stored separately on the device and excluded from financial backups. Store purchases can be restored using the original store account.
Backups and exported files
All backups and exported copies are password-protected Excel files. The app generates a 12-character password and keeps it in the phone’s secure storage. You can show or copy it in More › Backup after verifying app lock when enabled. Save the password outside your phone: it is required to open or restore a backup on another device. Techzilar cannot recover it. Import and restore try the saved password first, then ask for the file’s password if it does not match.
Automatic backups and backup history are saved on your device. Files leave the device only when you choose to share or save a copy elsewhere, such as a cloud drive. That provider’s terms and privacy policy then apply to the copy. Copies saved outside the app remain there until you replace or delete them.
The app’s private financial storage is excluded from automatic iOS backups and Android app backups. Save a password-protected copy outside the app regularly to recover after losing or changing your phone. Techzilar cannot restore lost local records for you.
Permissions and app lock
Notifications are created on your device for reminders you enable. File access is used for import, export, backup and restore. If you enable app lock, your device performs Face ID, fingerprint or device-passcode verification; the app does not receive your biometric data.
Deleting your data
Use More › App settings › Sample data & reset › Delete all data to erase financial records and settings. Plan access is retained separately. Removing the app removes local financial data; store purchases remain associated with your store account. Delete any backup or exported copies you saved elsewhere separately.
